Trade unions of Tajikistan and Belarus expand cooperation

This statement was made during a meeting between the heads of these organisations in Dushanbe.

Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan Maliksho Nematzoda and Chairperson of the Trade Union of Cultural, Information, Sports and Tourism Workers of Belarus Tatyana Filimonova held a meeting in the capital of Tajikistan. The interlocutors discussed further bilateral cooperation, the press office of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The emphasis was placed on cultural cooperation between trade unions of the two countries. The interlocutors agreed to build up the interaction in this sphere. They signed a joint roadmap to intensify youth work. Filimonova invited Nematzoda to visit Minsk.

The talks focused on cooperation between these organisations in protecting the labour rights of trade union members and their families. Maliksho Nematzoda shared the plans for the future.

The Chairperson of the Trade Union of Cultural, Information, Sports and Tourism Workers of Belarus donated a collection of books about the culture of the Belarusian people to the National Library of Tajikistan.
