Vladimir Norov meets with Ambassador of Qatar to Uzbekistan

The newly appointed Ambassador of Qatar presented the copies of his letters of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with newly appointed Ambassador of Qatar with residence in Tashkent Hassan Hamza Hashim and received the copies of his letters of credence, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

Hassan Hamza Hashim, the former Ambassador of Qatar to Somalia, succeeded Mohammed bin Hamad Al Hajri, who was in office in Tehran from 2019 to 2022.

Accepting the letters of credence, Vladimir Norov congratulated the diplomat on the success of the World Cup that has recently ended in Qatar.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Ambassador of Qatar exchanged views on key aspects of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian and tourism sectors, noting the great potential for building it up.

The interlocutors considered the prospects for promoting partnerships between the parliaments of the two countries and within international organisations and discussed the plans of joint events scheduled to take place next year.

They also exchanged views on issues of international and regional politics of mutual interest.
