On December 23, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev held a meeting with a Saudi business delegation, the press office of the Ministry reported.
The representatives of ACWA Power, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group, SABIC, Al Rajhi International, Jamjoom Pharma, Fawaz Al Hokair Group, Seera Group and other companies participated in the meeting. The representatives of ministries and departments of the two states and Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid A. Al-Falih attended the meeting.
The members of the Saudi delegation were informed about the business and investment environment, export opportunities and measures taken to protect the rights of investors in Uzbekistan.
The parties exchanged views on the possibilities for promoting trade, economic and investment cooperation through implementing joint projects. The representatives of Saudi business circles positively evaluated the investment potential of Uzbekistan and expressed their readiness to continue cooperation under investment projects.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to foster a dialogue on the development of a strategy of partnerships and considered concluding trade agreements and contracts.
