Turkmenistan learns Finnish approach to social protection

Attention was paid to improving the system, preparing reports on the implementation of international norms.
Turkmen delegation, consisting of representatives of the interdepartmental commission for the implementation of international obligations in the field of human rights and the working group of the commission, visited Finland. They learned the experience of a European country in the field of social protection. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the UNDP press office.

The trip was organized within the project of the United Nations Development Program and the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan. The program is focused on the implementation of the national plan of the Central Asian state in the field of human rights for 2021-2025.

During the visit, the Turkmen delegates learned Finland’s experience in improving the social security system, preparing reports on the implementation of international norms. Attention was also paid to Finnish legislation.

Representatives of the interdepartmental commission got acquainted with the practice of providing medical services to persons with disabilities, the policy of protecting the rights of the corresponding category of citizens. The presentation was made by the employees of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health of Finland.
