Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reports to President on action plans for 2023

Substantial preferences to domestic businesses will be provided in accordance with the election programme of the President.

On December 17, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov. The Prime Minister reported on the main deltas of the multifaceted government activities and the action plans for 2023, the press office of Akorda reported to CentralAsia.news.

Reporting on the prospects for the next year, the Prime Minister noted that the election programme of the President will be implemented, and the economic strategy will be furthered. In particular, active efforts will be focused on reducing inflation and expanding the oil and gas, energy, agricultural and private sectors.

The Prime Minister reported that about 10,000 unnecessary requirements that hinder the development of domestic businesses in 44 sectors of regulation will be reformatted. Employees of small and medium-size enterprises are expected to increase to 3.8 million. The country will implement 289 new investment projects totalling 4.2 trillion tenge.

Alikhan Smailov presented the approaches that will ensure the continuous supply of domestically produced goods to the domestic market, the construction of educational facilities, the modernisation of healthcare facilities and the expansion of employment opportunities.
