Tajikistan and WHO to develop health sector development plan

The parties presented their recommendations and proposals for further improvement of the health care system.

On December 14, Minister of Health of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda held a meeting with a WHO expert group consisting of Satish Mishra, Cathal Morgan and Sue Eitel. The Tajik side greeted the guests and expressed satisfaction with bilateral cooperation, the press office of the Ministry reported to CentralAsia.news.

The main aim of the visit of the WHO delegation is to develop recommendations and identify strategic areas within a joint project on the development of Tajikistan’s health sector, as well as inspect rehabilitation services, develop the projects aimed at enhancing rehabilitation interventions with assistive devices and provide technical assistance under the Plan of Action on Disabilities and Rehabilitation for 2023–2028.

A constructive exchange of views on further steps to boost mutually beneficial cooperation took place during the talks. The interlocutors presented their initiatives for improving the health care system.
