Smailov instructs new Karaganda Region Akim on vectors of development

The Prime Minister instructed that strict measures be taken to control the saturation of the market with domestic goods and prevention of unreasonable price hikes.

On December 8, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with deputies of maslikhats of all levels in Karaganda Region. Yermaganbet Bulekpayev was elected Karaganda Region Akim by voting. Alikhan Smailov instructed the newly elected head of regional administration not to slow down strategic development of the region, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Prime Minister highlighted the need to continue improving the economic deltas, infrastructure, entrepreneurial activities and the social sector in the region. Smailov identified the main goals, including the prevention of an unreasonable and sharp increase in prices of socially significant food products.

The Prime Minister instructed the head of regional administration to work effectively to saturate the market with high-quality domestic goods and prevent unreasonable price hikes. He also instructed that strict measures be taken to control the current situation at ArcelorMital Temirtau that shows the unsatisfactory pace of modernization and the technological decline.

Giving instructions on environmental protection, Smailov ordered that measures to reduce the negative impact of industrial zones on the environmental well-being be intensified.
