Ambassador of Sierra Leone accredited to Turkmenistan

Alie Badara Kamara presented his credentials to the head of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova.

Accreditation of Alie Badara Kamara, the diplomatic representative of the Republic of Sierra Leone, took place in Turkmenistan. Credentials were presented to the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh (one of the chambers of parliament) of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammedova. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».

The document was received by the speaker as part of the instructions of the head of the Central Asian state Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Mammedova said that the president congratulated the diplomat on his appointment as head of the diplomatic corps in Turkmenistan and wished the official success.

Alie Badara Kamara noted that Berdimuhamedov’s initiatives on global security and sustainable development have earned great respect in Sierra Leone. According to him, Turkmenistan has achieved impressive success in resolving issues of international importance.

Gulshat Mammedova and Alie Badara Kamara discussed cooperation in economy, trade, culture, science, education, sport and tourism. Attention was also paid to inter-parliamentary interaction.

The diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Sierra Leone were established in Iran on June 15, 2020.
