Vladimir Norov meets with UK delegation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with the UK delegation during his visit to Lodz, where the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe is taking place.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the UK delegation led by Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs James Cleverly during his trip to Lodz, Poland, where he participated in the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of issues on the agenda of the OSCE Ministerial Council and Uzbekistan-UK cooperation within international organisations.

They discussed the prospects for boosting inter-parliamentary cooperation through mutual visits of parliamentarians of the two states and the opportunities for strengthening partnerships in the trade, economic and investment sectors. The participants discussed the outcomes of the 26th meeting of the Uzbekistan-UK Council of Trade and Industry, which was held in Tashkent on November 30.

They put forward the proposals for expanding cooperation in science and culture, establishing contacts between educational institutions, museums and libraries of Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom and implementing joint projects in these fields.
