Tajikistan once again provides humanitarian assistance to Pakistan

This was done on the instructions of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

On the instructions of President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, humanitarian assistance was provided to Pakistan affected by natural disasters. It includes food products, fuel and building materials, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Humanitarian aid is provided to Pakistan where heavy rains and flooding have caused the great economic losses and numerous deaths. Along with the large number of victims and the acute shortage of food, the country is facing a health crisis.

The cargo carries about 5,000 tonnes of flour, vegetable oil, wheat, rice, macaroni products, drinking water, coal, cement, slate, timber and soap. Total humanitarian assistance is 19.2 million somoni, or about $ 1.9 million.

In September this year, the Republic of Tajikistan provided 12.2 million somoni (about $ 1.2 million) in humanitarian assistance to Pakistan. Natural disasters affecting Pakistan have killed 1,265 people. The victims have reached 33 million.
