Latvia holds seminar on simplification of customs procedures in Turkmenistan

Foreign specialists developed recommendations for the modernization of the relevant area.

Specialists from Latvia specializing in electronic customs have visited Turkmenistan. They conducted a seminar on the simplification of customs processes in the Central Asian country for local officials. It was reported to by the press office of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The seminar was dedicated to such topics as the modernization of electronic services related to the submission and processing of documents, and the expansion of the potential of the «Single Window» system. The event was held in Turkmenistan as part of the BOMCA 10 program aimed at improving border management mechanisms in the Central Asian region.

The seminar was attended by members of the Interdepartmental Working Group to coordinate the work of the «Single Window for Export-Import Operations» system.

As a result of the event, Latvian experts developed recommendations for the further modernization of the system for improving the efficiency of customs procedures in the Central Asian state.
