On November 30, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev visited the Senate of the French Republic during his official visit to France, where he met with President of the French Senate Gérard Larcher, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Kazakh leader emphasised the commitment to implementing bilateral agreements reached and adopted in Paris, which are aimed at giving a new impetus to multifaceted Kazakhstan-France cooperation. In this context, the President highlighted the importance of intensifying inter-parliamentary relations and invited Gérard Larcher to visit Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev noted that the meeting with the President of France confirmed the strategic nature of increasing partnerships. The talks focused on trade and economic exchange and investment projects in the energy, transport and logistics sectors, the President added.
The President of the French Senate welcomed the political, economic and society-oriented transformation of Kazakhstan and expressed readiness to foster an inter-parliamentary dialogue.
