Tokayev and Mishustin discuss practical vectors of bilateral agreements

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation said it was symbolic that Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev made his first visit to Russia following his re-election as President.

On November 28, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin during his official visit to the capital of Russia, where he had held the high-level talks. The interlocutors discussed the progress of the implementation of bilateral agreements, the press office of Akorda reported.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasised that the visit was versatile and very fruitful, which was also confirmed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The participants in the high-level talks focused on major aspects of interaction in the trade, economic and investment sectors and adopted the documents aimed at building up cooperation, the President noted.

The Kazakh leader said commodity turnover currently amounts to $24.5 billion, and the two countries have the potential to increase bilateral trade. The President thanked Mikhail Mishustin for his efforts aimed at achieving tangible results of bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation said it was significant that Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev made his first visit to Russia following his re-election as President of Kazakhstan. Mikhail Mishustin assured that the Russian Federation is ready to implement in practice the high-level agreements.
