Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan to build resort facilities near Lake Issyk-Kul

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for promoting cooperation in the trade, economic and investment sectors.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan Ulanbek Totuyaev met with Managing Director of the International Special Economic Zone Muhammad Tauseef Zaman. The interlocutors considered promoting bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic and investment sectors, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.

They focused on diversifying and increasing mutual trade, setting up joint ventures and building up cooperation in education and tourism.

In this context, the Kyrgyz Ambassador noted the importance of the successful implementation of joint initiatives and projects, such as the construction and modernization of resort and recreation facilities on the coast of Issyk-Kul Lake, investment in the construction of hydropower facilities, as well as the creation of textile joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan.

Noting that effective relations with the Kyrgyz side have been established in many areas, Zaman emphasised that his country is ready to promote mutually beneficial cooperation.
