Rahmon receives letters of credence from new foreign ambassadors

The President congratulated the diplomats on the beginning of their mission and expressed belief that their efforts would help strengthen friendly relations.

On November 21, President Emomali Rahmon received the letters of credence from the newly appointed ambassadors of Ukraine, the EU, Latvia, Sweden, Finland, Greece, Russia, Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, the Republic of Chad and Ghana. Congratulating the diplomats on assuming this position, the President expressed belief that their effective work would contribute to fruitful friendly relations and multi-vector partnerships between the countries, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Rahmon noted that over the years of independence, the Republic has been establishing and building up friendly relations and partnerships with other countries in different regions of the world by pursuing the peaceful open door foreign policy. He also stated that existing close relations with the above states will continue to expand dynamically, expressing the hope that the ambassadors will direct their efforts towards achieving the sustainable development goals and enhancing the interaction with Tajikistan.

The Tajik leader also commented on the current state and prospects for promoting bilateral and multilateral relations, finding new ways of cooperation and implementing agreements. He emphasised that the countries will take practical measures to establish high-level relations and continue to build a legal framework for partnerships in priority areas.
