On November 21, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov congratulated President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev on his victory in the presidential election during a telephone conversation. He wished the President good health and every success in his high position, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The Kyrgyz leader said the election results confirmed the support for the political strategy of Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev towards building a new state, boosting economic growth and improving the welfare of the Kazakh people.
Tokayev thanked his interlocutor and assured him that Kazakhstan will continue to strengthen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
Discussing the prospects of bilateral cooperation and key aspects of regional interaction, the two leaders reviewed the preparatory work for the upcoming meeting of the EAEU, scheduled to take place in Bishkek on December 9.
As was reported, the early presidential elections were held in Kazakhstan on November 20. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, the incumbent President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev won 81.31% of votes.
