On November 21, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Uzbek leader congratulated his Kazakh counterpart on his impressive victory in the early presidential election, the press office of Akorda reported to CentralAsia.news.
The two leaders reviewed the progress of the implementation of bilateral and international agreements, the prospects for deepening strategic partnerships and alliance and the schedule of upcoming meetings.
As was reported, together with other voters, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev took part in the nationwide event on November 20. The Kazakh leader voted at the polling place at Al-Farabi Palace of Schoolchildren in Astana.
Addressing domestic and foreign journalists, the President called that Sunday one of the most significant days in the modern history of Kazakhstan. Tokayev emphasised that 2022 was not an easy year, but citizens have rallied and overcome difficulties.
Today, the state and society are to achieve grandiose goals and aims. This consistent activity will continue in all directions, the Kazakh leader said.
