Stone processing plant put into operation in Tajikistan

The plant has large granite processing capacities and processes stones, marble and limestone.

On November 15, President Emomali Rahmon put into operation a stone processing plant of Kamoli Khujandi Corporation Closed Joint Stock Company during his working trip to Khujand. The President was informed that the enterprise has large granite processing capacities and processes stones, marble and limestone, which are turned into finished goods of high quality, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The new granite processing plant was built in the Sughd free economic zone to mark the 35th anniversary of independence and the 2022-2026 Years of Industrial Development. Its managers imported from China the stone processing technology for the working of decorative stones of a certain shape and size to meet the global demand. This plant created 30 permanent jobs.

The President was informed that the plant manufactures decorative stones that are used in the construction industry and as finishing materials for administrative and high-rise buildings. The managers reported that they are reducing the import of decorative stones from foreign countries, since Tajikistan has ample opportunities to manufacture decorative stones from local raw materials and boost their production.
