Participation of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia+Japan Dialogue discussed in Tokyo

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for promoting bilateral cooperation in several areas.

On November 14, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov met with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kyrgyzstan Hideki Goda. The interlocutors discussed the promotion of Kyrgyzstan-Japan relations and the bilateral events that will mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Particular attention was paid to the participation of the Kyrgyz side in the Central Asian Investment Forum and the 9th Meeting of the Central Asia+Japan Dialogue. The events will take place in Tokyo in December this year.

The Kyrgyz official said his country is interested in expanding and deepening cooperation with Japan in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

In this regard, Madmarov expressed belief that the new ambassador would contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Hideki Goda emphasised the readiness for joint efforts to enhance friendly relations between the two states.
