All-Republic cross-industry trade fair has started in Tashkent

Over 900 import and export companies from Uzbekistan are taking part in the event.

On November 14, the All-Republic cross-industry trade fair has started its work at the National Exhibition Centre in Tashkent. It showcasing the achievements of Uzbek industrial enterprises, the press office of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan reports.

In his welcoming speech at the opening ceremony, Minister Jamshid Khodjaev noted the effectiveness of this format of trade fair that have resulted in the signing of more than 7,000 supply contracts for domestic products this year.

944 Uzbek companies are displaying 9,350 kinds of products in more than two dozen industries at the trade fair. Of them, 2,275 kinds of products are imported to Uzbekistan, and 3,112 kinds of products are produced by local enterprises. It is planned to launch the production of another 4,998 kinds of products, which are displayed at the trade fair, under the import substitution programme.

The cross-industry trade fair has given the societies of disabled persons of Uzbekistan an opportunity to sell their products. A mechanism of payment for the sale of domestic products via the Escrow clearing system at the Digital Transformation Centre was set up.

The trade fair will end on November 18. It is expected to result in the signing of contracts worth 4.2 trillion soums.
