On November 12, Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated workers of Turkmenistan’s agro-industrial sector on the Harvest Day. In his congratulatory message, the President emphasised that the conscientious activities of agricultural workers ensure food security of the country, the Turkmenistan: Golden Age News Agency reported.
Berdimuhamedov noted that consistent measures are taken in the country to set up special land funds that provide agricultural lands to private producers for a long term, introduce advanced scientific experience in the ago-industrial sector and achieve efficient water management. This allows improving productivity and increasing the supply of agricultural commodities to the domestic and foreign markets.
The Turkmen leader noted that modern agricultural machinery and equipment are purchased on a regular basis, and farmers are provided with high-quality seeds, mineral fertilizers and pest control chemicals. Agricultural producers receive payments for their products in timely manner.
The President assured that Turkmenistan would continue to create an enabling environment and provide economic benefits to agricultural producers.
