Uzbekistan and Korea aim to cooperate in health sector

Representatives of the Korea Eximbank and the Ministry of Investments of Uzbekistan discussed joint implementation of projects.

On November 11, the representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan held a meeting via videoconference with the top managers of the Eximbank of the Republic of Korea to review the possibilities for building up cooperation in the health sector, the press office of the Ministry reports.

The parties discussed the prospects for the joint implementation of projects, including “The creation of research and educational components of the Tashkent Pharma Park innovative research and production pharmaceutical cluster”, “Construction of the National Oncology Centre” and “Multi-Profile Adult Medicine Clinic”.

The participants exchanged views on Uzbekistan-Korea cooperation in other economic sectors. The Uzbek specialists submitted the list of project initiatives for 2023 for consideration. The Eximbank representatives informed about their readiness to simplify the project selection process and launch the selected projects.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold talks on issues of mutual interest on a regular basis.
