On November 9, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received Minister of Interior of Turkey Suleyman Soylu, who arrived in the country for a visit. The interlocutors discussed the progress of the implementation of bilateral agreements aimed at ensuring public security, combating illegal immigration and other urgent issues, the press office of the President of the Kyrgyzstan reports.
Japarov noted that Soylu’s visit to Kyrgyzstan will contribute to strengthening cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two states.
“Turkey is a brotherly state and our reliable friend. Kyrgyzstan attaches particular importance to cooperation with Turkey,” the President stressed.
Soylu informed that he had held extensive talks with his Kyrgyz counterparts on cooperation in ensuring security and combating terrorism and extremism, illegal immigration and illicit drug trafficking. He assured that the Turkish side is ready to further deepen strategic partnerships in accordance with the instructions of the leaders of the two countries.
As was reported, the Turkish delegation would hold several meetings in Kyrgyzstan during its visit.
