On November 7, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The interlocutors considered further expanding bilateral relations in the priority areas of cooperation, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Sending his best wishes and warm greetings to his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Mirziyoyev highly evaluated the fruitful results of the high-level talks and events during his state visit to Turkmenistan on October 20-21 this year.
The interlocutors noted the importance of the implementation of the agreements reached and the documents signed, including through intensifying inter-parliamentary contacts and mutual exchanges.
The interlocutors discussed the agenda of the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in Samarkand at the end of this week.
