The enterprise was built as part of implementation of the action plan to celebrate the 35th anniversary of independence and the 5-year industrial development plan.

On November 2, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon put into operation an asbestos pipe plant of the Bokhtar-Slate Limited Liability Company in Bokhtar. The enterprise was built as part of implementation of the action plan to celebrate the 35th anniversary of independence and the 5-year industrial development plan, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The President was informed that this is the first industrial enterprise in Bokhtar that produces asbestos pipes. It operates in 2 shifts. The plant ensures permanent jobs and good wages for more than 30 local residents.

The plant can produce from 500 to 800 pipes per day. Its production capacity is 260,000 pipes per year, and it is capable of increasing pipe production to meet the growing market demand. Experts confirmed the high quality and thermal resistance of pipes and assured of their long-term use.

It was emphasised that the plant produces asbestos pipes from high-quality cement. 95% of the raw materials are supplied by the Tajik companies and another 5% are imported from Kazakhstan.
