On November 1, President Emomali Rahmon launched the construction of an innovative technology park during his working trip to Pyanj district of Khatlon Region. It is planned to involve businessmen and other sources of financing to build 9 enterprises that will produce flour, butter, napkins, soft drinks, confectionery, macaroni products, building materials, food and household items, and process fruits and vegetables, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The park will occupy an area of 3 hectares, where new production departments and factories will be built in the future to achieve the fourth strategic goal – the rapid industrialization of the Republic. After the enterprises are put into operation, they will create more than 200 new jobs.
The President was informed that the production departments and enterprises under construction would produce the goods that would replace imports and meet the local market needs. In this context, it was emphasised that technology parks would have been built in 30 cities and regions of Tajikistan by the 35th anniversary of independence of Tajikistan that would allow increasing the number of production workshops and enterprises by several times.
