Japarov harshly criticizes officials in Batken region for their work

The Prime Minister urged local officials to initiate promising infrastructure projects.

On October 31, Chairman of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov took part in a meeting with the local authorities and local communities during his working trip to Batken Region. The Prime Minister criticized local officials for their work, noting that it is not being carried out properly, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“Last year, we met with you in Bishkek, where instructions were given. The work is not being carried out properly. Employee attestation and job rotation have been done. But no progress has been seen in your work for two years, and you are still working in the old fashioned way: you are waiting for a command from the higher authorities, no one builds facilities without state funding, people continue to complain,” Japarov said.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers urged the local authorities to initiate promising social and economic development and infrastructure projects.

Japarov visited the school in Markaz village in Kadamzhay district to inspect its current state.  Local children study at school in three shifts due to a shortage of schools.
