EAEU approves foods subject to customs clearance as a matter of priority

The participants of the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission adopted the decisions on 22 agenda items.

On October 18, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev chaired a regular meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) via videoconference. The list of perishable goods subject to customs clearance as a matter of priority was approved during the meeting, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“The list combines the categories of goods of critical importance for the EAEU Member States that require priority customs clearance and special transportation and storage conditions and do not suffer any clearance delays due to short storage periods and the special nature of such goods,” the report says.

These goods include foods (meat, fish, dairy products, vegetables, fruits) and a number of other categories of goods.

The members of the Council approved changes to supply and demand balance indices for 2022-2023 for certain agricultural and industrial products.

The Council will hold its next meeting in the capital of the Russian Federation on November 18, 2022.
