Uzbekistan to promote cooperation with Japan in education

A delegation of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage visited Toyo University in Japan and concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with the heads of the university.

The Uzbek delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov visited Japan, where it held talks with the representatives of Toyo University in Tokyo – Chancellor Shinji Fukukawa and President Etsuko Yaguchi, the press office of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan reported.

The head of the delegation informed the representatives of Toyo University about ongoing culture and education reforms in Uzbekistan.

The representatives of the Japanese university noted the existing great potential to implement joint science and education projects. The Japanese side expressed readiness to cooperate in the exact and applied sciences and humanities and noted the opportunities for establishing partnerships between higher educational institutions of the two countries, conducting scientific and academic exchanges and internships for Uzbek specialists in Japan.

The decision was adopted to arrange a visit of professors from Toyo University to Uzbekistan to study the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and intensify tourism cooperation.

The visit of the Uzbek delegation to Japan resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Toyo University.
