On October 11, Dushanbe hosted the Tajikistan-Belarus business forum that involved 73 enterprises from Belarus, of which nearly 50 enterprises presented their products at the Made in Belarus exhibition, the BelTA News Agency reports.
Nearly all economic sectors of the Republic of Belarus were represented at the business forum. The two countries concluded the contracts totally worth $46 million.
Ambassador of Belarus to Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko informed about the joint ventures that operate in Tajikistan and the ones that will be set up in the near future. In particular, the countries are launching joint production of dairy products and carpets.
On October 11, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Dushanbe for an official visit.
He will hold talks with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the narrow and expanded formats, involving the official delegations.
The parties will consider expanding cooperation, in particular in the trade and economic sectors, and implementing current and future projects.
