Tajikistan and Turkey consider expanding cooperation

The talks focused on promoting cooperation in the political, economic and the humanitarian spheres.

On October 7, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Muzaffar Husseinzoda met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Tajikistan Emre Zeki Karagol. The interlocutors discussed key aspects of further cooperation between the two countries, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.

The officials considered the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the economic, political and humanitarian spheres.

They discussed cooperation within the international and regional organisations.

An exchange of views on the upcoming conference on countering terrorism in Dushanbe took place during the meeting.

As reported, Dushanbe will host a High-Level International Conference on “International and Regional Border Security and Management Cooperation to Counter Terrorism and Prevent the Movement of Terrorists” on October 18–19, 2022.

The Conference is an integral part of the Dushanbe Process launched in May 2018.
