President of Uzbekistan arrives to Hungary for official visit

The Uzbek leader will hold meetings with the leadership and business and financial circles of the country during his visit.

On October 3, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev left the Tashkent International Airport for Budapest for an official visit, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports.

The Uzbek leader is visiting Hungary at the invitation of the host country.

The programme of the visit will include high-level meetings with President Katalin Novak and Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The President of Uzbekistan will hold a series of meetings with representatives of business circles and banks in Hungary.

The parties will consider building up strategic cooperation and partnerships in the trade, economic, investment, humanitarian, agricultural, financial, pharmaceutical, machine building and water sectors.

The leaders of the two states will discuss the prospects for cooperation within the international and regional organisations, in particular the Organization of Turkic States (Hungary has an observer status with the organisation).

The visit is expected to result in the signing of a package of bilateral agreements on cooperation in various fields.
