Panic buttons put in schools and kindergartens in Bishkek

Panic buttons in schools and preschools are put to protect the life and health of children.

On September 28, the Bishkek City Hall reported that 1 million soms were provided in the 2022 budget of the capital of Kyrgyzstan to put panic buttons in schools and kindergartens, the press office of the Bishkek City Hall reports.

As was reported, the Bishkek City Hall held the tenders for services on the installation and connection of panic buttons to the centralised monitoring console of the security department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and concluded two contracts totally worth 935,000 soms.

Panic buttons were placed in 30 schools and 18 preschools and kindergartens in Lenin district.

As was reported, almost 3.163 million soms were provided in the city budget to beef up security using panic buttons in schools and preschools and an agreement was concluded with the security department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

To date, panic buttons have not been placed at newly built school 97 and newly built preschool 18. The tenders for the installation of alarm systems at these educational institutions will be re-announced.
