Kyrgyz citizens undergoing free treatment in Korea meet with Ambassador

The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan called on the Korean side to promote cooperation in healthcare and education.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Korea Aida Ismailova visited Daegu in her working trip. She met with the heads and teaching staff of Keimyung University to discuss the prospects for promoting bilateral cooperation, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

In particular, Aida Ismailova met with President of Keimyung University Sin Ilhee, Vice President Lee Pil Wang, Vice President, Director of Keimyung University Medical Center Professor Lee Si Hyung, Chairman of the Medicity Daegu Council, President of the Medical Tourism Promotion Institute Cha Soon-do, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and International Commerce Professor Sung Cho and Director of the Medical Industry Department of the Medicity Daegu Council.

Kyrgyzstan is interested in cooperating with the Korean side in education and healthcare, including in advanced training of Kyrgyz doctors at medical training centres in Korea, the Ambassador said.

During her visit to the Dongsan Medical Centre at Keimyung University, the Ambassador met with the patients from Kyrgyzstan and their families who are undergoing free treatment in Korea under the Memorandum of Cooperation between Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University and Keimyung University.
