On September 15, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Samarkand. The interlocutors discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The President highly evaluated the enhancement of political dialogue, development of trade and intensification of cooperation in various fields between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
He highlighted the need to expand relations in the trade, investment, energy, industrial, healthcare and education sectors.
Sharif expressed gratitude for the support and empathy for the Pakistani people over many casualties caused by recent severe flooding. In this regard, he noted the importance of taking action at the international level to reduce carbon emissions and prevent irreversible damage from climate change.
He invited Sadyr Japarov to visit Islamabad. The President accepted the invitation with gratitude.
