World religious leaders to lay foundation stone for Park of Peace and Reconciliation in Nur-Sultan

The new Park will symbolize friendship and cohesion among the peoples on Earth.

The participants of the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, scheduled for September 14-15, will lay a capsule in the foundation of the Park of Peace and Reconciliation in the capital of Kazakhstan. The new landscape facility will symbolise the inter-confessional and inter-ethnic unity of the people of Kazakhstan, the press office of the Nur-Sultan Akimat reported.

The project will be implemented by the municipal subdivisions on the banks of the Yesil River. The main element of the architectural ensemble is the Tree of Life Monument. It will be built inside the dome; this is an oak. The creative solutions of the architects represent it as the tree engulfed by a spiral and a fountain complex in the shape of a water mirror.

Water and the tree of life with the roots plunging into the depths of millennia embody the universal grandeur of life on Earth. The ensemble appears as cohesion, peace and friendship of mankind on the planet, regardless of religion. The dome and four exits symbolize one heaven and four cardinal directions.

Like a letter from the past to contemporaries, the pictures illustrating the creation of the world, fragments from the history of Kazakhstan and ancient rock paintings will be demonstrated on the walls of the dome. The vertical spiral around the tree carries the idea of the totality of heaven and earth, reminding us that the world is very brittle and fragile. The Park is scheduled to open in 2023.
