On September 8, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov highlighted the importance of intensifying cooperation in such a priority area as labour migration at the meeting with the ministers of internal affairs of the CIS Member States, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
He noted that the Kyrgyz side attached particular importance to migration issues, in particular freedom of movement across the internal borders of the CIS Member States.
Japarov expressed belief that the problem of coordinated regulation of labour migration can be addressed by providing migrant workers with the right of equality with nationals of the host country in admission and termination of employment.
The President said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has recently taken measures to maintain law and order, combat crime, provide security for the population and create conditions conducive to a peaceful and stable life of citizens.
The participants of the meeting exchanged views on measures for the implementation of comprehensive and coordinated efforts in combating crime in various areas.
