Bishkek urges to simplify movement of goods and stay of migrants in EAEU Member States

The meeting participants exchanged views on further measures to intensify Eurasian integration.

On August 25, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council Sadyr Japarov received the heads of government of the EAEU Member States, who arrived in Bishkek to participate in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EMCC) in Cholpon-Ata on the coast of Lake Issyk-Kul, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov took part in the meeting.

Sadyr Japarov called on the EAEU Member States to intensify efforts to remove barriers within the Union, in particular he highlighted the importance of the free movement of goods.

The President focused on migration issues. Sadyr Japarov highlighted the importance of taking further efforts in this area, including to address challenges for social security of workers and their families and simplify the migration requirements in the EAEU Member States.
