Tokayev lays wreath at Heydar Aliyev’s tomb

The President of Kazakhstan highly evaluated the contribution made by Ilham Aliyev to the architecture of modern Azerbaijan.

On August 24, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev laid a wreath at the sculptural ensemble in Baku, where the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev is buried, during his visit to Azerbaijan, the press office of Akorda reported.

The leader of Kazakhstan laid a bouquet of white roses at the tomb of Heydar Aliyev‘s spouse Zarifa Aliyeva. Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev accompanied a wreath to the Eternal Flame on the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, where the names of heroes of Azerbaijan, who gave their lives for the freedom of the Motherland, are carved on granite.

Speaking at the press conference, the President of Kazakhstan highly evaluated the contribution made by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev to the development of the country.

He noted that thanks to the tireless work of its national leader, today’s Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity and moved to a new stage of development. The modern state demonstrates the significant progress in all areas, we observe these trends and sincerely rejoice for them, the guest said.
