The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Michael Uwe Bierhoff presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov. The diplomats discussed the prospects for further interstate cooperation. It was reported by the press office of the MFA of Turkmenistan.
Attention was paid to cooperation in politics, economy, culture, and the humanitarian sphere. Officials noted the importance of high-level visits and the effectiveness of Inter-MFA consultations.
The meeting was also dedicated to the further development of trade relations, as well as the expansion of the partnership between Turkmenistan and Germany in healthcare, in particular within consultations between medical specialists.
The officials also agreed that Ashgabat and Berlin have similar positions on the global agenda, and it is clearly demonstrated in the framework of cooperation between the respective states within the United Nations and the European Union.
