Rahmon calls on judges and security officials to put national interests above other interests

The President of Tajikistan raised this issue during a meeting with young officers at the Palace of the Nation.

On August 19, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with young officers, who were appointed to key positions in the judiciary and law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor’s offices at the Palace of the Nation. He instructed that they fairly deal with violations of law, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.

The chairmen of district courts, representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Defence, the State Border Service and the State Committee for National Security attended the meeting. It was emphasised that experienced and qualified specialists were appointed to the posts by the Decree of the President of Tajikistan.

Rahmon demanded that they put the interests of the nation and the state above all other interests and instructed them to perform their duties with a “pure heart”.

Addressing the newly appointed officials, the President of Tajikistan provided examples of the rapidly changing situation in the region and the world, emphasising that in modern realities, judges, prosecutors and security officials need to improve their professional skills to effectively combat illegal acts.
