President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Football Academy of Metallurg FC in Bekabad. The Real Madrid Foundation supported the opening of the El Golazo Academy, and training sessions are held in accordance with traditions of the Spanish football club. Football specialists from Spain work at the Academy, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The President inspected the conditions for life and training and the school timetable. About 200 children are studying at the Academy now and those, willing to study at the Academy, are increasing in number. Therefore, admission to the Academy is competitive. 48 best students have recently visited the training camp in Spain.
“I am happy to see you studying in modern conditions and your eyes shining. It is our goal to create such an aspiration in young people,” the President said, talking to the schoolchildren, noting that they would become good football players.
There are the fitness club, classroom buildings and hostel on the territory of the Academy. Its stadiums have both natural and artificial turf.
