On August 10, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid a visit to the military unit of the naval forces «Garşy» in Balkan province. There he inspected the navy corvette «Deňiz han». The captain of the ship told him about the features of the vessel. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
The corvette was built with the participation of Turkmen specialists at the shipyard of the naval forces of the Ministry of Defense. Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the capabilities of the ship. It was noted that «Deňiz han» is a coastal patrol craft, missile boat, and fast attack vessel.
The servicemen of the corvette took special courses abroad, namely in Germany, the Republic of Turkey, and Italy. The captain of the ship noted that the craft has everything necessary for effective service and good rest for officers and sailors.
As part of the president’s visit, a naval parade was held in the Caspian Sea. Combat ships and boats of the Navy, the State Border Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of National Security took part in the event.
