Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine Idris Kadyrkulov met with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Gennady Chizhikov. The interlocutors considered intensifying joint efforts to expand and enhance trade and economic contacts between the two countries, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The projects in the priority sectors of Kyrgyz economy, which could be of interest to foreign and Ukrainian investors, including construction of small and medium-scale hydropower plants, green energy generation, agricultural and food processing, tourism and IT technologies, were presented at the meeting.
Kadyrkulov invited the Ukrainian side to hold a joint business forum in Kyrgyzstan, which would showcase the tourism and investment opportunities of the Republic.
Gennady Chizhikov noted that the Ukrainian business community is interested in finding new enabling business environments.
Following the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to hold the second meeting to develop an action plan.
