Smailov orders to expand geography of further education for rural children

In Kazakhstan, it is planned to build innovative schools that can accommodate 840,000 children by 2025.

On August 9, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a government meeting to discuss measures aimed at implementing the National Project “Quality Education. Well-educated Nation”, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Commenting on the reports, the Chairman of the Government emphasised that the main objective of the project is to provide citizens of Kazakhstan with unhindered and widespread access to education at all levels. A pilot project “Comfortable School” is being developed on the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan, and it is planned to build innovative schools that can accommodate 840,000 children by 2025, the Prime Minister said.

Alikhan Smailov ordered to finalize the Comfortable School project and merge it with the Bilimdi Ult project.

The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and Sports and regional administrations to expand the further education coverage of children in rural areas. He tasked the government agencies to increase employment of young people by increasing college enrolment within state quotas.
