The opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Tajikistan took place in Batumi (Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Georgia). The ceremony marked the 28th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
Honorary Consul of Tajikistan is Tengiz Kokoladze. Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan and Georgia Rustam Soli noted that the opening of the Consulate will contribute to enhancing interstate cooperation in trade, economy, science, culture, as well as in the humanitarian sphere.
Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Tornike Rijvadze emphasised that the event will give impetus to boost Tajikistan-Georgia partnerships in the investment and tourism sectors.
The roundtable “Favourable investment climate in the Republic of Tajikistan” was conducted in Batumi last week. The participants learned about the potential of Tajikistan in the hydropower, industry, agricultural, construction and transport sectors.
