Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a letter to the leadership of Singapore on the occasion of the National Day of the South Asian state. He expressed confidence that in the future the interstate relations will be strengthened, as reported by «Turkmenistan today».
Berdimuhamedov sent a letter to President of Singapore Halimah Yacob and Prime Minister of the state Lee Hsien Loong. In the message, the Turkmen leader also addressed the citizens of the republic.
The president of Turkmenistan said that Ashgabat is highly interested in expanding friendly relations with Singapore. He noted the readiness of the Central Asian country to make the necessary efforts in the respective direction. Berdimuhamedov wished the people of Singapore peace, progress and prosperity.
In 2019, during the Turkmen-Singapore business forum in Singapore, a ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held. The parties signed an agreement on partnership of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Association of Banks in Singapore and the Development Bank of Singapore.
