Tasks set out for Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan in second half of 2022

It will focus on attracting foreign investment, scaling up exports and promoting tourism.

The Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting in Bishkek. Particular attention was paid to the work done by the Ministry for the first six months of the year and the tasks set out for the Ministry in the second half of 2022, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev chaired the meeting. He said a new regulation on the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was approved in June. It is aimed at raising the efficiency of the diplomatic department and its activities.

The participants emphasised that the Ministry would focus on enhancing economic diplomacy, attracting foreign investments, scaling up Kyrgyz exports, promoting tourism and protecting the rights of local citizens who stay abroad in the second half of this year.

The participants also noted that in January-June 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs worked towards achieving the priorities set forth in the Development Programme for the period till 2026 and the crisis management plan of the Government for 2022 in view of the global economic crisis and geopolitical instability.
