The Standing Working Group on attraction investment chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda held the 4th meeting in Dushanbe. The emphasis was placed on the importance of taking additional measures to attract investment, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The heads of state departments, ambassadors and consuls attended the event. The meeting was held online. The participants discussed the Working Group Action Plan for 2022.
They discussed ways to enhance external partnerships in the trade sector and boost synergies among the government agencies to attract foreign investment and the report on air transportation by the International Finance Corporation.
The roundtable “Favourable investment climate in the Republic of Tajikistan” was held in Georgia on the day of the meeting. It brought together local and foreign entrepreneurs. The participants learned about investment opportunities in the hydropower, industrial, agricultural, construction, transport and tourism sectors of Tajikistan.
