Kazakhstan to boost tourism exchange with Andorra

A new Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption is to give an impetus.

On August 4, Chairman of the Government of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra Maria Ubach, who arrived in the Republic for an official visit. The interlocutors considered implementing mutually beneficial projects in the tourism industry, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

As was reported, Maria Ubach and her Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tleuberdi signed an Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan noted that the tourism industry can be a presentational platform to develop trade and investment partnerships on a large scale. Kazakhstan possesses the significant geographical potential to promote nearly all types of tourism, the Prime Minister noted and invited Andorran companies to take part in the implementation of new promising projects.

The Chairman of the Government emphasised that the Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption will give a significant impetus to increase flow of tourists.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra noted that ski tourism is a promising niche for joint efforts. She said she that had seen the infrastructure of the popular Shymbulak tourist cluster in Almaty and emphasised the exp0ediency of creating joint modern hubs in this sector.
